While vaccination campaigns against COVID-19 have accelerated in recent weeks, and thousands of people are receiving this new vaccine every day, the pharmaceutical industry is focusing on bottling the drugs. This massive production of vaccines requires rigorous vigilance on a few vital points regarding the quality of their “packaging”. Among other things, the vial is sealed with an elastomer rubber stopper and a sealed cap. Once packaged, they ensure sterility and prevent leaks. Failure to seal would result in indefinite suspension of supplies and delivery-rupture of the product.
In this more than present and demanding sanitary context, our AT2E team has developed a version of the VLT – Vacuum or Pressure Leak Tester, meeting very specific criteria. Pharmaceutical laboratories packaging the COVID-19 vaccine must be even more vigilant on the quality of the leakproofness of the bottles.
- Vacuum and safe pressure tests,
- tests with or without immersion for visual detection of leaks,
- Customized vaccine vial support, optimizing leak and pre-leak detection.
The characteristics of the VLT :
- leakage on packaging,
- under vacuum or pressure,
- with or without immersion,
- automatic NON DESTRUCTIVE leak detection, by vacuum with or without stage,
- from -999 mb to + 6 bar.
The kinds of packaging :
- glass or PET bottles and preforms
- food in bags and blisters
- jars in lids and films,
- electronic cards, sensors,
- aluminium, metal and plastic capsules,
- aluminium cans, canned food,
- cardboard packaging.
