The AT2E SCT-ECO crack tester is designed to apply stress to the bottle base and determine the crack resistance of blown PET soft drink bottles. Measuring the propensity for base cracking upon exposure to an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution under a controlled environment, to assess the long-term behavior of bottles.
